Music || Toe/of Syncopated Drums and Daydreams

Have you heard of toe? Well basically I’m not talking about your toe who talks back to you in an afternoon daze. I’m talking about toe, the awesome Japanese band under the indie label Machu picchu.

The first time I heard toe I thought they were like all the other math rock bands out there, except, well they’re Japanese. But after listening to their music, being exposed to Kashikura Takashi’s emotional syncopated drum beats, the unorthodox guitar playing of Mino Takaaki and Yamazaki Hirokazu, and the feel good groove of Yamane Satoshi’s bass playing you’ll be entering a very emotional and deep trance. toe’s music will take you places, their music dares to chase and touch our soul as we keep on riding the waves of life.

toe’s sound travels from unconventional clean guitar play to heavy melodic riffs to groovy bass play to syncopated drumbeat. The most recognizable sound of the band comes from the Takashi’s drum playing, you’ll be carried away by his style and the emotion he releases while he plays.

watch their RGB and CUT DVDs and visit toe.
